About me:

Liam Higgs has played hockey since he was four years old. He is from Port Coquitlam and graduated from Terry Fox Secondary. He worked as a carpenter and HVAC labourer after quitting hockey. These jobs have taught him how to troubleshoot on-the-fly and shown him how to get the job done to the best of his abilities.

That’s also where he realized he missed talking and using his voice which is his passion and talent. He has always had the confidence to be on camera and is not afraid to say controversial things. He is also very talented at dealing with adversity. Liam has also worked for the White Rock Whalers of the PJHL doing play-by-play and camera work.

This job has given him a foot in the door and has shown him the areas he needs to improve in. It also has given him plenty of troubleshooting opportunities with audio and camera equipment. He loves sharing transparent and well-thought-out stories and considers himself a very personable person, which helps him when working in a team environment.

Liam currently is working on diversifying his skill set at BCIT. Liam Higgs will graduate from the Broadcast and Online Journalism program at BCIT in 2024.
